TISCO recently launched two “hand-torn steel”, thickness of only 0.02 mm, width of 600 mm, a new industry record. This ultra-thin stainless steel precision strip shows China’s technical strength in the field of materials processing. Its extreme thinness and can be torn open with bare hands, not only reflects the process innovation, but also provides key support for high-end manufacturing.
The R&D team also overcame the processing problems of Hastelloy C276, and successfully mass-produced high-temperature superconducting substrate foils with a thickness of 0.03 mm and a length of up to 5,000 meters, with a domestic market share of up to 80%. In addition, in the field of photolithography process, TISCO has developed a mask version of precision foil with a thickness of only 0.025 mm since 2022, with an accuracy of 1 micron and uniform microporous structure, reaching the top level in the world.
These breakthroughs cannot be separated from the strict production environment control and innovative process design. Engineers revealed that the sample is visible under a 200x microscope with 2-4 million micropores, and the semi-transparent characteristics highlight its technological leadership, which not only promotes the development of precision manufacturing in China, but also provides an important material support for photolithography and other cutting-edge fields.
